12 Planned Parenthood Services For Men That Republican Lawmakers Are Trying To Cut

The latest attacks against Planned Parenthood have led to a plethora of misleading information, most of which has been proven false. The erroneous information is infiltrating mainstream and social media and it's fueling so-called 'pro-choice' Republican lawmakers who say they care about fetuses/unborn babies, yet often do little to help children once born. These anti-choice Congress members include GOP presidential candidates, Donald Trump, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Ben Carson, and Mark Rubio. Their focus seems to be on dismantling and controlling the reproductive rights and choices of women. That is clear by their extremist statements, recent vote, and their legal assaults upon women's rights, also known as the War Against Women.

One way the GOP feels they can control women's reproductive rights is by defunding Planned Parenthood abortions services. Only 3% of Planned Parenthood's services go towards abortions and under the Hyde Amendment, federal funds cannot be appropriated for family planning abortions. Ironically, Planned Parenthood services actually prevent countless, possibly millions, of abortions by preventing up to half a million unintended pregnancies per year. The federal funding goes toward the other 97% of services offered by Planned Parenthood including cancer screenings, birth control, STD screenings, and general health care for women and men.
