This has been an ugly election season. The vitriol, bullying and misogyny at the top of the Republican ticket (and down much of the GOP line) is impacting all of us in many unseen ways. Donald Trump says and does horrific things without more than a shrug from most of his supporters.
While my opponent won’t even rescind her endorsement for Donald Trump, I’m affirmatively supporting Hillary Clinton for president. One of the reasons I support her is because of her strong position on a woman’s right to choose.
I’ve been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan and believe women should have the right to both make their own decisions about what's best for their reproductive health as well to access the healthcare they need to make these decisions. I find the idea that this (and, even more so, contraception) is still even up for debate in 2016 to be rather mindboggling.
