What happens when you get two Baptist pastors, a rabbi, and a Unitarian Universalist minister to sit down and talk about Planned Parenthood? In this case, we get a great video from the reproductive health care provider showing clergy and faith leaders sharing why they are pro-Planned Parenthood.
With the Republicans going full-steam ahead in restricting access to reproductive health care, this video serves to disrupt the prominent (and confusing) narrative that religious people are anti-choice because of their faith. The leaders in the video show how being pro-choice and supporting Planned Parenthood is the moral and right position to have—especially as a person of faith.
As Rev. Timothy McDonald III says in the video, “When people of faith speak up for reproductive justice, compassion becomes the order of the day.”
Amen to that!
