Fighting for Trump—and against women’s rights, Diane Black shows off her GOP stupid in 31-second ad

Hundreds of thousands of Tennesseans may have to bear witness to the new campaign ad for Republican House Representative Diane Black. She’s running for TN governor this year and the frightening ad jumps out of the local network news TV screens like an internet pop up—every night, multiple times a night, and it’s only April.

Local news is known to give its viewers some breaks and breathers in between bad news by adding sports, weather and frolicking banter. But Diane Black’s campaign ad destroys that plan, and for the average Democrat, those 31 seconds are no less than excruciating. There’s no way for me to stay remotely impartial about someone like Black. Among other things, she prides herself in serving Trump over the American people, she prides herself for the slogans like “Lady and the Trump” that appear on her website (right?), and she seems to pride herself in the way she lies, because she twists, exaggerates and manipulates words so often and so easily.

Here is the ad to judge for yourself.

Below is the transcript: It opens with that low male ferocious and cynical campaign voice we’ve grown to despise during election years.d

Diane Black—Battling Planned Parenthood!

Diane Black: ”Why should we be giving paying taxpayer dollars to an organization that is breaking the law?”

There are so many things wrong with that statement—I’ll move on to the next clip in the video—which is sort of funny.

She Stands Up To The National Media!

Diane Black: “Have you watched them?”

Anchor: “Yes, I have.”

Diane Black:“Have you watched them? “

Anchor. “Yes, I have.”

Oh, you go! You tell ‘em, Diane. It sort of reminds me of the Michael Cohen “Says who?” clip.

It looks like Black is out to save Donald Trump and his mighty plans.

Fighting For The TRUMP AGENDA!

Donald Trump: I called Diane Black—you came through Diane!

(Black smiles back with a look as if to say, aw shucks, Donny)

Diane Black: This is a big deal—a once-in-a-generation opportunity to, uh, advance the president’s agenda where we can actually help the American people.

Conservative Diane Black—She Fights For What’s Right!

So, I wonder, after regaining consciousness, does her last statement mean that advancing Trump’s agenda, to help the American people, is something we have not been able to do thus far? If so, she’s on point there. I keep an airsick bag on the coffee table in case I can’t make it out of the room in time. Getting more to the point, here is an example of just one bill to which Diane Black gave a great big “Yay!”

HR 4712 - Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act - Key Vote

Excerpts:

·   Requires practitioners who are present when an abortion procedure results in a “child born alive” to exercise the same degree of care as they would with a child born in any other circumstance (Sec. 3).

·   Defines a “child born alive” to include a fetus that has been removed from the uterus at any stage of development that exhibits a heartbeat, pulsation of the umbilical cord, breathing, or voluntary muscle movement (Sec. 2).

·   Specifies that any action to intentionally cause the death of a “child born alive” can be legally prosecuted and is punishable as an act of homicide or attempted murder (Sec. 3).

·   Exempts an individual upon whom an abortion procedure is performed from prosecution for any violation of this bill (Sec. 3).

·   Specifies that an individual who undergoes an abortion that results in a “child born alive” can take civil action against the practitioner and is eligible to receive damages equal to 3 times the cost of the procedure as well as money for any mental or physical injury that resulted (Sec. 3).

·   Requires anyone working at a medical facility that performs abortions to immediately report to law enforcement any knowledge of a violation of this bill, classifying a failure to do so as a criminal offense subject to no more than 5 years in prison (Sec. 3).

In other words: Hot to make legal abortion illegal—while it’s still legal.

As you can probably imagine, Black is offensive on most all issues involving common decency. You can see more of her voting record here. As an aside, she lives in an $11.5 million dollar house just outside Nashville. Black, along with her husband had $78.6 million in taxable income from 2013 to 2016. The money keeps her in touch with the reality of the average American.

Last year, the Nashville Scene reported:

By one calculation,  Black is the 10th wealthiest member of Congress as of 2014, the last year for which filings are available, and has a net worth of up to $154 million, according to the Center for Responsive Politics — not including that $11.5 million house.

This may be why Trump loves the lady.

Speaking of ladies, there’s another GOP Congresswoman with a similar deficiency of values—Marsha Blackburn. She’s running for U.S. Senate. Take a glimpse at her campaign ad. It’s more polished than Diane Black’s ad, and more nauseating.

When I write about Blackburn, I refere to her as the ”lying, Trump-loving, wall-building, anti-choice nightmare who intends to fill Senator Corker’s seat.” Her video proves me right. Hi

Blackburn who is sort of a “Ted Cruz meets Sarah Palin meets Donald Trump” released her October campaign ad, calling herself a “politically incorrect and hardcore, card-carrying, (anthem-standing) Tennessee conservative”—and she is proud of it! She also likes to carry guns and photos of fetuses.

The ultra-conservative goes on to state she is “pro-immigration ban.” That’s right. This right-wing racist supposedly wants a straight out ban of immigrants. She didn’t even bother to use the much-loved conservative phrases, “illegal immigrants, illegal aliens, thugs and terrorists.”Let’s just ban ALL those damn immigrants, who along with Native American Indians built this country. Of course, that would mean she’d need to ban herself and family for being descendants of immigrants. She has immigrant blood.

This slick politician also refers to herself as being 100 % pro-life, pro-baby and pro-woman. There are so many contradictions to that combination of brags, I could lose my cookies before I start eating them.

Diane Black and Marsha Blackburn need to be stopped and I look forward to seeing more writers, activists and the general public expose these women in articles, videos social media shares and memes. Suffice to say, I think they are traitors to their gender and more importantly—traitors to the people they are paid to serve.

Tennessee voters have their work cut out for them this November. If you know folks in the state, share the ads. Most Republicans will cheer or roll their eyes, but the ads will give Democrats all the more reason to show up at the polls for Midterm Elections. With the direction this country is moving, most will show up anyway, but the Black/Blackburn ads might inspire a good many more TN Democrats who normally might not vote, to show up—just to vote against these candidates.

Both of these congresswomen, regardless of gender and state, are out there making and passing laws—many laws that proven not to be in the best interest of the people. That fact can be startling The good news is—we have the power to stop them.
