My friend, Megan Hill donated to my fundraiser and this is what she had to say about why:
PLANNED PARENTHOOD LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE. I was in my early 20s, was in a committed relationship and my period was late. They did a pregnancy test free of charge. Then a week later when I started to spot they did more tests. I had a molar pregnancy, It wasn't a viable life but the mass of cells was growing rapidly and I had to have a dnc. Had I not had access to their free healthcare I could have died.
Megan is one of the 49 people, 45 of whom are women, who has donated to my fundraiser. So far we have raised $3,888 for Planned Parenthood - and for every dollar donated, an anonymous donor will give an equal amount to Planned Parenthood up to $1,000. I pass forced birth protesters every weekday as I go to my psychiatric treatment. I still have 20 treatment sessions left. This specific fundraiser benefits the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of Texas which fights to keep abortion safe, legal and accessible in Texas.
