Kathleen Sebelius, former Secretary of Health and Human Service delivered a forceful message to attendees at Kansas City’s downtown Intercontinental Hotel. “You can’t tell me there isn’t a war on women,” Sebelius told attendees, who sat only a few miles from the state that had twice elected her Governor. In remarks made after the event, the former governor made the her point clear: “This is the challenge, better services, better access.”
The access to better services has faced significant push back in both Jefferson City and Topeka, as the capitals of both surrounding state have continued to ramp up the anti-choice legislation in hopes of ending the practices in their states.
