Do you think that the state should pay people's child support in the event of sterilization failure?

Do you think that the state (meaning the government) should pay people's child support in the event of sterilization failure? After all, being forced to pay child support for 18+ years as a result of sterilization failure could significantly ruin one’s life, and past a certain point one has ABSOLUTELY NO control over whether or not one’s sterilization will actually fail in the long(er)-run. There’s ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that one could do that would GUARANTEE that one's vas deferens will NOT subsequently regenerate (the vas deferens can regenerate even if several centimeters of it have been removed, even if it has been cauterized, and even if fascial interposition was used). And of course neither men nor women can EVER actually guarantee that a fistula will NEVER form in their bodies after sterilization that will subsequently restore their fertility.

It seems much more equitable this way—as in, having the state pay people’s child support if they previously got sterilized, previously got two successful/negative semen analyses (in the case of men), and then had their sterilizations fail due to bad luck later on—on the condition that these people will get sterilized again, of course! After all, people whose sterilizations fail generally DON’T engage in activities that are more risky than the rest of the population does, so why exactly should they suffer crippling financial losses as a result of this simply due to bad luck on their part when these financial losses can be MUCH more evenly and equitably spread out by having the state pay for this?

For what it’s worth, I think that such a proposal should apply to BOTH sterilized men AND sterilized women. As in, have the state pay ALL OF their child support in their place for 18+ years on the condition that they will get a new sterilization right afterwards. What would be REALLY nice to have, of course, would be cheap and affordable child support insurance, but to my knowledge (I checked), such insurance unfortunately doesn’t actually appear to exist and even if it did exist, it might unfortunately get struck down by some idiot judges as being null, void, and unenforceable due to it being contrary to public policy (please search for this Quora question on Google: “Can an insurance contract to pay *all* of a man's child support in the event of a vasectomy failure get struck down in court on public policy grounds?”). So, having the state pay sterilized people’s child support would be the next best thing in regards to this—and of course the financial burden on the taxpayers is probably going to be relatively minor since sterilizations generally don’t fail.

Anyway, what do you personally think about this?
