"Not your choice, not your body. Your body is mine"

The psychopaths are out already.

On the steps of a church, no less.

Pro-choice protesters had gathered around St. Patrick’s Church in New York, where four unidentified men were outside the shut doors, standing on the slab porch. One of the men, in an FDNY shirt, engaged with the protesters, taunting them.

“Not the church, not the state, the people must decide their fate,” the protesters chanted.

“I’m the people,” he said, patting his chest. “The people have decided, the court has decided—you lose.”

The protestors, many of them women from the register of their voices, responded: “You say ‘no choice’—we say ‘pro-choice’!”

That’s when the guy let the world know what he was about.

“Not your body, not your choice. Your body is mine.”

Sam Seder, on his show, discussed the scene:

“If you want a good understanding of what’s behind this, sometimes you just gotta go to the source. There is—again. There is a fundamentalist vision about where women should be. You don’t necessarily have to be a fundamentalist Christian to believe this, and not all of them necessarily do. I’m sure some of them are good people.” (He suspends his disbelief more than I am willing to. Far too generous, in my opinion.)

“It is a mentality,” Seder continues, “that I think is a perfect example of what is going on in the mind of a lot conservatives.”

That mentality is one of complete domination and ownership. What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine, and I can do with my stuff whatever I want. That’s what that mentality says.

That’s the mentality of a psychopath.

The men who share this way of thinking will rape, maim and kill women.

They’re declaring it openly.

On the steps of a church.
