Cmae’s diary, Disturbing experiences in the everyday life of a female, is an amazing list of the wholly ordinary: incident after incident of being harassed, groped, followed, and assaulted, starting at an early age. The comments section quickly filled up with women cataloguing their own experiences dealing with harassers and predators. Obviously, all the trigger warnings apply for rape and abuse.
I think a lot of well-intentioned men just have no clue how much of this women have to deal with. One creep can harass twenty women in a day, then get up the next day and harass twenty more. We all try to duck and dodge around it, but rape culture won’t change until we deal with the offenders.
